Responsibilities

As a Studio Senior in our practice you will: ● Serve as an integrator between business needs and technology solutions, helping to create technology solutions to meet clients’ business needs ● Perform project tasks independently, and may direct the efforts of others ● Participate in or lead the development of client deliverable content ● Anticipate client needs and formulate solutions to client issues ● Review deliverables for accuracy and quality ● Provide coaching to junior staff ● Contribute to new business proposals ● Manage own personal and professional development, seeking opportunities for expansion of consulting skills and experiences ● Bring the user-centered design (UCD) process methods to design for various channels from concept through launch ● Collaborate with product managers, design, engineering, quality assurance and clients to identify the best experience that meets user, business and technical needs ● Use strong interaction design and usability skills to make the complex clear, while understanding how it works behind the scenes and adjusting accordingly


Qualifications

Required: ● Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of technology consulting or other relevant industry experience ● Experience working independently with minimal supervision and guidance ● Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with experience exercising mature judgment ● Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives ● Demonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience ● Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation creation tools, as well as Internet research tools ● Up to 10% travel required ● Must be able to obtain and maintain required clearance for this role ● Portfolio that shows examples of interactive data visualizations you’ve done as well as how you got there, including but not limited to sketches, wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes ● Solid UX skills, with the ability to iterate through conceptual ideas and effectively communicate conceptualizations using sketches, storyboards, wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes, data visualizations ● Significant experience with creating designs, from concept through prototyping, with one or more of the following programs or technologies – Axure, Sketch, OmniGraffle, Adobe Creative Suite, Marvel, Principle ● Expertise that spans across UX, web engineering, and design or the ability to “speak the language”. That is, you should feel comfortable talking to other UX and visual designers as well as stakeholders and engineers ● Experience planning and facilitating user research and usability tests Preferred: ● Previous professional services or consulting experience ● Experience with web front end development, including HTML, CSS and JavaScript ● Knowledge of query languages, APIs, data pipelines and how they impact design decisions ● Degree or equivalent experience in any of the following fields - Information Design, Interaction Design, User Experience, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design ● Willingness to mentor junior staff and lead UX design for a given project
